CoVac – Designing for common good Mayowa Afolayan, August 2, 2021 27.5% of the world population has received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine, and 13.9% is fully vaccinated. 3.93 billion doses have been administered globally, and 33.04 are now administered each day. Only 1.1% of people in low-income countries have received at least one dose. In Nigeria 2.53 million people have been vaccinated as at July 12, 2021. While 1.4 million people have been fully vaccinated, and 1.13 million partially vaccinated which is 0.68% and 0.55% of the population respectively. And with population of over 200 million people only 1.23% of the people have received at least one dose. In this part of the world people are skeptical about the safety of the vaccine and the need to get vaccinated against the virus. This is a global scourge that must be stopped and for now aside the established protocols getting vaccinated is still the best approach for now. Therefore, more need to be done in the area of encouraging people to get vaccinated, monitor and track the process. This is why I come up with this UI design “COVAC”. This will enable people to register to be vaccinated, book appointment, check their vaccination status, follow up with their doses, track Covid infection rate and vaccination update. #covid19 #covidvaccine #ncdc #ncphda #ui #ux #digitalart #usability #inspiration #staysafe #skills Digital Design Digitalart Health Innovation Interaction Design Technology HealthSocial ResponsibilityUI/UX Design
